Oh I love the dress! Nice work with these, you are keeping them going in a fine fashion.
Mine are all in a drawer. I was going through them yesterday to pick out some for the new craft consignment shop that has opened in town. I have some that I am actually sending, like real postcards, to friends and family for correspondence. I have a handful that I need/want to mount on an artist’s canvas and decorate around the edges of a bit, and make them into more “official” looking art, and maybe even hang on my wall or visit two galleries in town to see if they might be interested.
A year’s worth is a lot. And you picked a Leap year to do this! A box is a good idea, or in your books if you save and refer to your notebooks.
Wow, your journal pages are beautiful (these and below). I have such trouble ‘letting go’ in a visual diary/journal, so I love seeing pages from others 🙂
Woo, I was thinking about a box but I am not sure .. things in boxes tend to vanish into black holes never to be seen for years.. perhaps that might be an idea.. I still wish to have a book that goes with each day so maybe that would work.. and have a photo/print of the piece in the book…
lee – Thank you! I might think in regards to making these as postables for the most part knowing that these would be staying int he book alot of them aren’t backed.. I do save my notebooks.. every few years I go through and pull out pages that I want to keep and biff the nonsense.. but perhaps after this book is done I will do them as completed trade/postables.. 😀 Thanks for the idea!
Meshell – Thanks! I previously had problems with letting go.. worried what would be thought of me and how things would seem.. but I realised how restrictive thinking that way was for me artistically and have worked through that to a point where I love to face all these little issues I may have had with myself.. quite the oposite of what I thought! At the start I was very concerened with how they would look and the info on the pages would seem.. now its second nature..
maybe you need to construct a box for them? Love seeing the book fatten with completed cards. It’s so inspiring!
