Mass of Binding

Over the past 24 hours I have been binding some books on and off, I just wanted to share the growing pile of completed and soon to be made up. All of these are made from reclaimed paper, cardstock (coming from folders, tabs, and various other sources as well as some painted papers, parchment, canson cardstock and everything in between.  I have left the items mostly as they were given to me /found/ purchased for these and would suit anyone who wants mostly acid free paper to sketch or write on in a book that is definately unique.

Hopefully I will get these properly photographed and up on either Etsy or Ebay by the end of the week.. if you are interested in something a little more personalised or custom be sure to drop me a line sooner rather than later otherwise the materials will be put into what ever form I feel inspired to at the moment of creation!

I am listing a lot of  art books, older work, paintings dolls and so forth over at ebay as well as my old text books if you are interested in getting something please go have a look. If you are someone who is interested in more than one item please be sure that you open a conversation with me so that we can work out the best deal for you.

I am also binding new books and various other bits so if you see something you would like a little differently from what you are seeing be sure to drop me a line also..

The reason for the destash is that its a shame to have all of these items laying around being unused and unloved when they could be seeking a new home.

Scrap2Treasure Issue #002

After a week of fighting with the printer, wondering if my idea would be interesting enough and then getting distracted by the Diablo III Beta I have finally gotten the latest issue finished and uploaded.

I have included a few photos of one I have done up for you as a sample so you can see what was used and what came out of it. The possibilities are endless and most of all it is fun and a great way to use up those  scraps you don’t just want to throw out. There is a link below to the Flickr set to see all the images that were uploaded for this.

These could be done on ATC’s, cheap notebooks/journals, or on larger scraps.

Yesterday we got two new fur babies, four month old ferrets! I never thought I would have them as I assumed they were wilder and stinkier.. After less than a day I was in love, here are a few pictures to introduce our little lovelies.. I will post more as I take them of course..

Scrap2Treasure – Mini Zine Issue #001

Earlier this week I finally finished a project that I have had going on for a while now, by going on I mean that I have meant to start it. Quite a whole ago on this blog I had started to play with using my scraps as those of  you who frequent this site will know that I do often. Saving offcuts, tags from shopping items and various other thrifty things.. So I have finally begun to put down my notes into a little mini-zine called Scrap2Treasure. it is a one page printable (or you can read it on your computer) it is a fold-able and you can find instructions HERE  for folding it, you will need to scroll down to single page folding options at the bottom of the page.

Strawberry Lane

We went to Michaels last weekend, and found some toy fruit for $1.00 of course I instantly saw some miniature houses in them. This is the first made without any plans..  I have added back deck and stairs as well as front railing and removed the pins from inside the house..

A couple of weeks ago we took a trip to see the Cahokia Mounds, if you haven’t heard of it there is a fantastic site dedicated to it  my pictures don’t do it justice but I was FREEZING!

And lastly the awesomeness of technology finally has me with a chickenfish sticker 😀

What a year!

So the year for me is ending – September to September had been hell for me – I met great people fell out of love was stupidly broke and fell deeply into love with a wonderful man who really loves me and am about to be free again… In the time between then and now I have learnt so much so I will leave you with this image until my next post – love you all and wish you the best for Christmas and the new year – you can always contact me via email 🙂

24 hour zine thing.. Jacks Heart

So I decided to take part in the 24 hour zine thing this year… I am beat but it was totally worth it. Just need to make a couple of copies on Monday and post them off 🙂
