So, I feel as though I haven’t posted anything in quite a while. I am not really sure where my time has gone lately, perhaps going to the gym an hour and a bit a day is sucking up all my slacking time, yet that said I haven’t really been doing alot of making at night. Mostly trying to figure out the time off thing, generally it ends up with me reading through the 300 or so blog posts that I have subscibed to in google.. I am tempted to go through and harshly delete some but then I know I will miss out on something good!
I had taken quite a few pictures of the various things I have been working on but they have turned out less than desireable, I think it might be time to break out the desk tripod again for picture taking.. So here are the ones of my sketchbook, these are rough notes from pages I liked from the heraldry and celtic art books, drawn freehand in my own style to better gauge how my finnished pieces would look (that is for me.. Everyones interpretations tend to be very different and I love how my lines look at the end of the day)
I have a HUGE pile of books I got from the library today on metal work, making boxes and some fabric ones as well, I will try and write the details up of how I research and take notes for future use. Hopefully that will be of interest to someone and might give insight into a new way of taking notes that is suitable for various different influences, style and technical..
Have a great weekend and check these guys out, rather spiffy imho.. Day of the Dead
Night! Happy Canada / US Day where applicable!
