After seeing some sites where people are setting themselfs the task of starting the morning with a drawing/collage/etc I thought I would try it as I definately don’t draw as much as I used to and sometimes you just need a routine to get the mind going. So in the morning I will draw/collage in the first one.. with no intention of the outcome really, the middle one Noon I will create in when I need a break from theory or whatever I am doing.. and the night one is more of a reflection about the day or whatever is stuck on my mind before I go to sleep..
One of the people who has inspired this is Keri Smith who has a truck load of great info on being more creative and getting more inspired and being yourself. I am yet to read her blog thorougly and to take a peek at her books but nonetheless her flickr is an awesome inspiration to simply do and try things 🙂 I like her approach to it all. You can see Keri’s morning collages on her flickr site
These do not have any glued parts.. The covers are cardstock I picked up from the newsagency for $1.45 for a different project and had enough left over for the 3 books and the tabs to go into them. They are just under an a6 size which is what I like, especially for random works. They each have 120 pages in them and I will be creating a flickr set for the pages when I get started on them..
On being short, Sometimes I really dont like it.. Like when the light blows in the spare room where all your craft stuff is first thing in the morning when you turn it on, there is no ladder so there is no chance of getting that extra inch! Its absolutely annoying considering I dont have any phone books around either to wack onto the chair… I do however have a nice big fat text book which may do the trick.. Will have to try that ! 😛
